Hexter Elementary PTA is proud to continue our commitment to support the arts in our children's education. Because of the successful history in both our White Rock Art Festival and our White Rock Home Tour and the recent boundary and population changes at Hexter, we have made the decision to join these two events into one powerful weekend. Both of these events were established to promote the importance of art in our lives and in our children's education. All proceeds benefit the Hexter Elementary Fine Arts Program, which includes both visual arts and music. Each of these events compliments the other, and with this combined effort, the weekend will be stronger in attendance for both venues. Our new “White Rock Home Tour and Art Festival” weekend is scheduled for April 21-22, 2007. There will be 5 homes on the tour, featuring the White Rock area’s beautiful mid-century modern styling, while the works of over 60 artists will be on display and available for purchase at the Art Market. The collection of handcrafted artwork available at the Art Market includes paintings, prints, jewelry, metalwork, pottery, glasswork and more. Also available will be gift collections including bags, cards, apothecary and gourmet food items. This year we're also happy to welcome back work from our own Hexter students as well!
